Summer Breeze 2009 – brief review
I came back from the Summer Breeze tired like Hell. It was really intense this year ! Thanks to the accreditation I’ve been able to meet really nice people and realize again how small Earth can be ! But let’s talk about the fest !
First overall impression : crowded and well organized ! People had no trouble to get anywhere on the site, and I can even say that toilets were clean ! Sooo let me summerize that : good music + happy people + food + drinks + toilets = best festival 
Honestly, the euphoria was palpable, the sun was here, people were parked correctly and joking all around, shopping or staying at their car…

Then, the bands. The names on the running order were promising ! Sharing the Pain and Main stages there were Wall of Jericho, Kreator, Vader, Amon Amarth, Amorphis, Life of Agony, Opeth (despite their sound problem on stage), Moonspell, Volbeat, Epica, The Haunted … many names that have a special sound in my ears. The sound of creativity and charisma on stage, the sound of pleasure of being on stage in front of thousands of fans… Those bands really know how to deal with large crowds ! Some « less-known » bands were in the Party Tent were nevertheless really astonishing ! Great shows of Secret of the Moon, Ghost Brigade, Cynic, Hackneyed, Razor of Occam, Anaal Nathrakh, One Way Miror… just to name those ones. Very nice discoveries, because of course I didn’t know all of them.
The only drawback I have about the festival is related to some details of my photographer’s experience. I found that the photo pit of the Main stage was too narrow for the height of the stage (I’m not even sure the first rows in the crowd could see a lot more than I did), that explains the few pictures I got from bands on that stage. I’ll try to get a zoom for next year !!
I’m really hoping that the pictures I shot at the festival will please your eyes and talk to your soul, whispering : next year : COME !

Maybe you talked to me at the festival, and I gave you my website address… maybe not ! The Ambiance on the festival is the main reason I keep coming back at the Summer Breeze, even though the first bands announcements for the 2010 edition is already hot ! You’ll know more in time, but in the meanwhile, stay tuned !!!!
